What are the Content Requirements for adding/editing a Festival?
Content information is extremely important when adding/editing a Festival Page. Not only that it provides the basic information, but it is also a cornerstone for that Festival analytics (especially Lineup information) and its position on Festival charts. That is why it's extremely important that you try to add as much information that you can and that this information is correct.
When adding/editing Festival Pages you should follow the content requirements stated in this section:
Name
Use the official name used in all outlets (homepage and social media channels). If the same Festival occurs in different cities/countries, add the city/country name next to the official Festival name (ex.: Rock in Rio, Rock in Rio Lisboa; Rolling Loud Miami, Rolling Loud Los Angeles).
Date
Enter all dates when acts on the line-up are performing. If the last act stops performing after midnight, don’t enter the next day. If the Festival has two dates, add the earlier one. You can add the second one as the additional date later in the editor.
Location
If there's no exact address on the Festival’s website or social media channels, choose the main Venue/stage address or box office address. If the exact location is a secret, just choose city/country.
Stages
Enter the number of stages. If it’s unknown or you’re not sure, leave this field empty.
Size
Select the option (small to mega) from the drop-down menu, depending on the maximum number of people, that can fit inside the Festival area. If size is unknown, or you’re not sure, leave this field empty.
Line-Up
Add the entire line-up or at least all headliners. Double-check if the Artist you're adding to the line-up is the correct one, and not an Artist with the same or a similar name.
Amenities & Highlights
Only add the Amenities and Highlights that you're sure of. Info is usually found on the Festival's website.
Ticket Info
Select the correct entry method. If you select the “tickets online” option, provide up to 3 ticket links. The official ticket provider should be listed first. Enter the lowest ticket price.
New Edition
If a Festival has already happened during this calendar year and a date is known for the next year’s edition, trying to edit such a Page will only allow you to create a new edition. Once you have created one, you will be able to edit the Page, but for the newly added edition only, so be careful to only add information regarding the new edition. You cannot add a new edition for a Festival that hasn't happened during the current calendar year yet.
Media
- Profile Image (min. 512x512px, max. 2Mb, .jpeg or .png): use the Festival’s official logo. If there is no logo, use the most appealing picture that best depicts the Festival. Profile picture has to be square. When adding a new edition, check if the profile picture is still up to date.
- Photos (min. 512x512px, max. 2Mb, .jpeg or .png): add at least 3 images in addition to the profile picture. Use photos of the highest possible quality that show the main features of the Festival. Don't add photos of people or bands (no person or entity should be recognizable). Third-party logos are not allowed.
- Videos: link a YouTube video URL. Trailers or/and after-movies should be official. When adding other unofficial videos, make sure they are high quality. When adding trailer and after-movie videos, link them to the correct editions (e.g. 2019 trailer and after-movie to the 2019 Festival edition).
